Availability of fortran lib with lowercase symbols with MPICH2 64-bit on windows

Description

Hi

I downloaded Win X86_64 Binary (1.0.8) from
http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/ and installed on my
Win64 machine. The README files talks about different versions of the
shared libraries, in particular, fmpich2g which provides lowercase names
with underscore for Fortran subroutines. But the installer did not make
this available. Is there any way to get this library?

Thanks

Kottalam

Hi,

Do you need the 64-bit MPICH2 fortran library with lowercase symbols & double underscores ? Which fortran compiler do you use ?

Regards, Jayesh

Hi Jayesh

Thanks for making this available. Right now I have a workaround through
a wrapper to the MPI library in C. Eventually I would like to remove the
workaround and use the supplied Fortran libraries. But it may not happen
with urgency.

We are using Intel Visual Fortran compiler version 10 and the C compiler
in Visual Studio 2005 on Windows XP 64-bit.

Thanks
Kottalam

Hi,
I haven't added the fortran library with lowercase (double underscore)
symbols yet. The default calling convention supported by IVF (Uppercase)
is supported by fmpich2.lib (which is already available with 64-bit
builds).
Is there any specific reason that you need the non-default (lowercase +
double_underscore) convention ?

Regards,
Jayesh

Hi Jayesh

I do not need the non-default library at this time. The reason I needed
it has to do with certain legacy requirements in our own development
environment - which I will strive to remove. Meanwhile I have a
workaround.

Thanks
Kottalam
