Ticket Owner Reporter Resolution Summary
#878 solj Joe Digilio <[email protected]…> fixed Upstart service status with no output produces traceback
Description

On Ubuntu 10.04 (with bcfg2-1.1.0-0.1rc1), I get the following traceback for two services (grub-common and bcfg2):

Unexpected failure of verification method for entry type Service
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/__init__.py", line 146, in Inventory
    states[entry] = func(entry, mods)
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/Upstart.py", line 33, in VerifyService
    entry.get('name'))[1][0]
IndexError: list index out of range

Running the following produces no output:

# /usr/sbin/service grub-common status
# /usr/sbin/service bcfg2 status
#
#884 solj Jack Neely <[email protected]…> fixed Traceback with Path tag in Rules Plugin
Description

I'm setting up some directories with the Path tag and getting tracebacks. Bcfg2 1.0.1:

Unexpected failure of verification method for entry type Path
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/__init__.py", line 126, in Inventory
    states[entry] = func(entry, mods)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/POSIX.py", line 732, in VerifyPath
    return ret(entry, _)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/POSIX.py", line 688, in Verifydirectory
    return ret(entry, _)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/POSIX.py", line 200, in VerifyDirectory
    pTrue = ((owner == str(normUid(entry))) and
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Bcfg2/Client/Tools/POSIX.py", line 55, in normUid
    return int(pwd.getpwnam(entry.get('owner'))[f5e4281313ff9004be488e420f90d5fe413bb5c1] (SVN r2))
TypeError: getpwnam() argument 1 must be string, not None

My line in my rules XML that matches this is:

  <Path type='directory' name='/afs'/>

If I had the "owner" argument the traceback goes away and I get

GID normalization failed for /afs

So, Bcfg2 client side isn't catching this error condition properly.

#885 solj https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=AItOawlIdOLQ3nFOgetY5BoyA_TNtPssw64vBhw fixed Go button broken in clients view
Description

Under the clients view the go button throws a 404 error. The url match for this view is looking for a trailing slash.

Running with django version 1.1.1

Attaching a patch to match without the trailing / as well. It is possible to do this on one line but I remember some problem with earlier Django versions.
