bcfg2 should use the Packages/config.xml as the basis for configuring /etc/yum.repos.d/*

Reported by: David Strauss <david@…> Owned by: desai
Priority: minor Milestone: Bcfg2 1.1.0 Release
Component: bcfg2-client Version: 1.0

Description

Currently, usage of the Packages plugin requires redundant repository configuration for (1) within bcfg2's Packages/config.xml and (2) for the main Apt/Yum? repository configuration.

Resolved in r5996. The packages plugin is now a Connector and can be used in templates.

Examples will be here - http://doc.bcfg2.fourkitchens.com/server/plugins/generators/packages.html#generating-client-apt-yum-configurations
