1.0 client cannot connect to 0.9.6 server

this would be a nice to have for the client to be backward compatible.

I often specify the fingerprint on the command line and i get this error for the machines I installed 1.0preX

option -F not recognized

This is because the -F option is no longer available, it has been replaced by the more robust ca option. Retaining argument level backward compatibility isn't really possible with as many changes as we have made to 1.0.
