Description

I need a way to have NagiosGen? allow me to define a one off service check for a single host which is part of a larger group of servers.

Basically I need to be able to do this.

Box2 in GroupA needs to have a special service check but that check needs to be specific to Box2 and not be extended to the other boxes in GroupA.

I tried to use the Properties/NagiosGen?.xml to accomplish this however discovered after getting the XML working that it was used to define and extend host entries.

Could we extend the Properties file or come up with some other config which can allow me to do this.

I believe this is doable using the fined-grained control that Chris recently added. Documentation for that can be found at http://docs.bcfg2.org/dev/server/plugins/generators/nagiosgen.html#fine-grained-configuration.
