Is this on lucid? I'm trying this on lucid and I see that php5-cli depends on libdb4.8, which shows up in the client's configuration:

<Package origin="Packages" version="auto" type="deb" name="libdb4.8"/>

We're pinning php to the karmic version (5.2) since Dripal doesn't play well with php 5.3 yet. So, it would be karmic.
