Git access


If you are wishing to contribute on a regular basis you should apply for direct git access. This page describes the steps to take till you are able to commit directly to the Bcfg2 git master repository.

Note: It is not necessary to obtain mcs git access in order to contribute. You can submit pull requests via github or send patches to the mailing lists or on IRC.


  • Fill out the web form at :
    • You'll need to request the "FIXME" resource
    • Put "Bcfg2" as your project
    • List Narayan Desai <desai <at>> as your sponsor. If you have any issues, ping him off list and he will get you set up.
  • The process takes some time. You will be informed as soon as your account was created.
  • After you received the confirmation from MCS, ask Narayan Desai (desai on #bcfg2 on to do the last step.
